If your MacBook feels sluggish, there are a few quick ways to speed it up.
First, close unused apps and browser tabs — they can eat up memory fast. You can also check Activity Monitor (found in Applications > Utilities) to see what’s consuming CPU and RAM.
Restart your Mac if you haven’t done so in a while — it clears temporary system clutter. Also, disable unnecessary login items under System Settings > General > Login Items.
Free up disk space by deleting large files, old downloads, or unused apps. Keeping at least 10–15% of your storage free helps performance.
Make sure macOS is up to date. Performance issues are often fixed in system updates — check under System Settings > Software Update.
If your Mac still feels slow, it might need a deeper cleanup or even a hardware check.
