Mouse not working on MacBook?

If your mouse isn’t responding on your MacBook, don’t worry — most issues are easy to fix.

First, make sure the mouse is powered on and charged (if it’s wireless). Try turning it off and on again, then reconnect via Bluetooth under System Settings > Bluetooth.

If it’s a USB or wired mouse, unplug and reconnect it. Try a different USB port if available.

Restart your Mac — this can often reset the connection and fix minor glitches.

Still not working? Go to System Settings > Mouse and make sure the settings look correct. You can also try the mouse on another device to rule out hardware issues.
